Unlimited Recycling, Inc., founder Maria Marin-McInturf is a successful business owner committed to her mission.  Her company is a “One-Stop-Shop” specializing in waste management and recycling services for universal, industrial, hazardous and non-hazardous waste.  The high demand and awareness in waste reduction and universal recycling has given the company an opportunity to expand services into the solid waste industry, and now offer dumpster rental and roll-off services.

Maria Marín- McInturf, like many Hispanic immigrants in Michigan, had a dream when she moved to the United States.

Born in León, Nicaragua, she first moved to Florida as teenager.  Marín- McInturf found it difficult to move to a new country and not know the language, but  worked hard to learn English until she got her high school diploma, and was awarded a two year scholarship to attend Junior College.

It wasn’t until she moved to Michigan in 1983 that became involved in waste management, fisheries and wildlife divisions.  She quickly emerged as a public information source, answering questions pertaining to hunting, fishing, oil spills, and fielding community complaints. Always eager to assist, Maria quickly became very passionate and pro-active about protecting the environment.

In 1999, Marín- McInturf founded Unlimited Recycling, Inc., with the mission of informing government entitites, small businesses and the public about environmentally friendly practice.  Her primary focus was to educate about mercury-containing lamps, and how to properly manage their waste according to the State of Michigan and Federal EPA regulations.

"Our goal is to provide the highest level of service in the recycling industry.  We are dedicated and committed to complete and unsurpassed customer satisfaction,” Marín- McInturf said.

Since then, Marín- McInturf has helped hundreds of companies, government departments, municipalities and private citizens around the State of Michigan and Ohio with the proper disposal of their universal waste, including spent fluorescent lamps, batteries, electronic equipment, PCB and non-PCB ballasts, hazardous liquid and non-hazardous waste.
